GP information and referrals advice

Service users can access our services without referral. Guidance on how to do this is on this website, including online booking. Where appropriate, GPs should signpost patients to this option. Patients requiring referral include:

  • patients with a positive test for HIV, syphilis or other STD.
  • complex needs related to sexual health
  • Complex contraceptive needs particularly for those with learning disabilities

Training and education

We offer a number of highly acclaimed training programmes to clinical and non-clinical staff.

Dr Anusha Dias is FSRH Training Programme Director for the Harrow and runs both undergraduate (part of the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Undergraduate Faculty and PACES examiner) and graduate training programmes, including the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare for GPs and is the Faculty Regional Advisor for training for NW London. Dr Naomi Hampton is the FSRH Training Programme Director in Ealing and the service trains doctors and nurses for the Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (DFSRH) and Letters of Competence in Intra-uterine and sub-dermal implant techniques (LoC IUT and LoC SdI).  Enquiries to naomi.hampton@nhs.net

We train GP ST-grade doctors and foundation year doctors in sexual health and teach medical students. We also participate as teachers in the STI foundation course.
